My name is Gisela Borges and I am from Portugal. Making handmade things has always been a part of my life. A few years ago I started making jewelry. I first used beads and other tradicional materials to create my pieces, but soon developed a taste for the use of more unconventional materials, like plastic tube, fabrics, ribbons and vintage buttons. One thing leads to another, so sewing was the next thing to learn. I find the making of useful yet "pretty to look at" objects a very satisfying activity.
